The final four teams — Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, and Egypt — each earned their place through disciplined play and clutch performances in the knockout rounds. Morocco continued its strong international run with a balanced attack and organized defense, while Nigeria impressed with pace and creativity in the midfield. Senegal relied on its physical presence and big-game experience, and Egypt once again proved why it remains one of Africa’s most consistent tournament teams. The semifinal matchups didn’t disappoint. Egypt lost a tough one to Senegal in a tightly contested 2–1 match that came down to a late second-half goal. In the other semifinal, Morrocco defeated Nigeria in a dramatic penalty shootout after a 1–1 draw in regulation. Both games highlighted the mental toughness and composure required to compete at the highest level.
Some players in our school had a lot to say regarding the Afcon tournament, David Faltas expected his national country to come up with the victory. “Egypt has a really talented squad and they should have no problem eliminating the competition with ease”, said David.
