Lily has spent the past four years playing soccer and making memories throughout high school. This fall, she will attend Elon University, where she plans to major in cinema and minor in leadership. While she is excited about what’s next, she knows she will miss the people and moments that made high school special.
Looking back, Lily said one of the biggest lessons she learned was to enjoy the little moments while they last.
“Try to make the most of high school,” she said. “You are going to want to graduate so bad, but embrace the moments and friends that you have made along the way.”
Between soccer, school events and time spent with friends, high school gave her memories she will always cherish.
As she prepares for college, Lily is most excited about the independence and new experiences ahead.
“I am excited to take charge of my life, fail and succeed by myself, and find who I am in college,” she said.
She looks forward to meeting new people, trying new things and starting a new chapter at Elon.
Even with graduation approaching, Lily plans to stay close with her friends after high school.
“I plan to stay connected with my friends for sure,” she said. “I will miss them so much, and we already have plans to keep in touch.”
With her positive attitude and excitement for the future, Lily is ready to make the most of everything that comes next. She also encourages other students to cherish the time they have left in high school.
