Taylor Malone has been highly involved throughout her high school career, participating in both band and track while also attending Burton for the criminal justice program. She has maintained strong academic performance throughout high school, finishing as a valedictorian, demonstrating her ability to balance rigorous coursework with multiple extracurricular activities. After graduation, Malone plans to attend Baylor University.
When asked about her favorite high school memories, Malone said one of her most memorable experiences was band camp during her junior year, largely because of the group she was roomed with. Looking beyond high school, she is also excited about an upcoming cruise to Hawaii. She hopes to remain close with her current friend group after graduation and maintain those relationships throughout college.
Malone said education is her top priority as she prepares for her future. Outside of school activities, she enjoys dystopian literature such as 1984 and Fahrenheit 451, along with the film The Truman Show. She said her interest in dystopian stories began in middle school after reading similar works in Ms. Hodge’s class.
Overall, Malone has made the most of her high school experience by staying active in band, track and academics while building strong friendships she hopes to continue beyond graduation. As she looks forward to senior celebrations, graduation and attending Baylor University, she leaves high school with lasting memories and an exciting future ahead.
