As graduation day approaches, Hidden Valley is excited to celebrate senior Rozhia Bayatkandi, whose vibrant spirit and artistic passion have made a lasting impact on the school community.
During her time at Hidden Valley High School, Rozhia said some of her favorite memories came from spending time with friends and building meaningful connections. “My favorite memory is getting food with my friends and sitting in parking lots goofing off. It’s something simple, but also something I won’t forget,” Rozhia said. Even after graduation, she plans to stay close with friends Kendra, Samantha, Maggie and Baylon.
Several teachers also played an important role in shaping Rozhia’s high school experience, turning difficult moments into positive learning opportunities. “Dr. Neale made such a big impact on my high school experience. He’s been a huge support and has helped me improve in many ways,” Rozhia said. She also recognized Mr. Luckett and Mrs. Dunford for their influence. “They’re great teachers and just great people in general, and they have made such an impact on my future,” she said.
Outside the classroom, Rozhia has developed a passion for dance, art and photography. Her dedication to both dance and visual arts has highlighted her creativity and inspired others around her to explore their own artistic interests.
Looking ahead, Rozhia plans to attend Northwestern University, where she will major in neuroscience with a minor in dance. “I am very excited to start navigating my path on my own and seeing what I am capable of achieving independently,” she said.
Although graduation brings bittersweet emotions, Rozhia is excited for the future and grateful for the experiences and memories she made during her time at Hidden Valley.
