As the 2026 spring season arises from March through May, a fresh rush of styles sweep across the nation, captivating the student body with this year’s latest fashion trends. As the weather begins to change and the air becomes humid winter clothes get pushed to the back, and baby tees get pulled forward. This season is all about light and flowy layers with nice, bright colors!
One of the biggest returning trends this spring is the light and flowy additions to your everyday style, like pastel patterns and colors, baby blues, light pinks and shades of green are everywhere giving you that fresh spring feel. Along with color, layering has become essential, with many students pairing simple outfits with denim jackets, scarves, and flowy skirts. Some of the biggest trends this spring include baggy jeans and relaxed fitting clothing, creating a laid back but stylish look.
At our school, students are embracing these trends in their own unique ways. Claire Mitchell(12) shares, “I like spring fashion because you can mix a lot of skirts and flowy pieces.”
Similarly, Rylan Koerner(12) said, “I love adding scarves to my outfits, it adds a fun touch to my everyday look.”
These styles show how students blend comfort with creativity.
Spring fashion doesn’t have to be expensive to be stylish. Many students are turnings towards thrift stores and upcycling their old clothes to create new looks. In spring, you can layer winter pieces like sweaters with lighter items and transition them into a simple spring fit.
“It’s always fun to transition from long pants into cute shorts that work with every outfit,” Rylan Koerner(12) adds.
Simple combinations, like jeans with a basic-tee and a light jacket, can make a simple yet effortless without spending all your money.
Spring fashion is all about self-expression and confidence. Whether students are following trends, creating or upcycling their own, this season offers a warm time to refresh their style and have fun with what they wear in preparation for summer!
