The soccer season is quickly upcoming for the Hidden Valley team, and we can’t wait to see what results they can produce this year. The squad is being led by returning head coach Steven Ison and Zach Large. The returning seniors from last seasons short lived playoff run are led by Truett Bartlett, who made First Team All District, and was a top 25 goal scorer in VHSL Class 3, and Jonathan Hamilton who was a standout left-back last year. Other notable members of the team are Ariston Mabes, Carter Dralle, and Santiago Trochez. The team looks to make a deep playoff run this season to bounce back from their 2-1 loss against Magna Vista in the Region Quarterfinal.

The team holds depth at several positions, at goalie Carter Dralle (11) , Cam Landis (10) as backup, and Michael Gobrial (11) at developmental. The first regular season game will be on at home on March 16th against Staunton River High School. The culture is changing, and many of the players are looking forward to what can be accomplished this season. Varsity left-back Patrick Doyle (11) said, “Yeah, the team looks good. As long as we stay healthy, I think we can get a lot done this year”. Many players are returning from last year and hope to gain good results from the season. The men’s varsity team was ranked 5th in the River Ridge district and they hope to take the number one spot for themselves this year.
