Aside from all the iconic displays and markets, there are also Christmas villages set up around the city of New York. These villages are full of shops and fun gifts, heaven for girls and just anyone who loves to shop. Governors Island Winter Village is another famous spot with an ice-skating rink, along with holiday fun across the entire harbor. Grand Central Holiday Fair is a village located in Grand Central Terminal, full of local artisans and many food vendors. The Christmas villages are full of trinkets, delicious foods, and wonderful gifts for all your family. Everyone loves to do a little shopping while out of town, and the Christmas villages are the perfect place for that.
Another huge attraction in the city during Christmas are the popular Broadway shows and major productions. These include the Rockettes, The Nutcracker, and many others. These shows take place at Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, and other famous venues. One of the most famous shows is the Christmas Spectacular put on by the Rockettes. This show includes synchronized dancing, elaborate costumes, and the iconic wooden soldier fall. Teagan Burrow (11) says, “we saw the Rockettes while we were in the city, and the show was stunning and a very iconic experience.” The Rockettes is a must watch if you ever find yourself in New York during Christmas.
