Hidden Valley High School’s female students will face off in the annual Powderpuff game at Bruce A. Mahan Field on October 13. The night will kick off with a 10-minute JV matchup featuring the freshmen versus the sophomores at 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by the highly anticipated junior–senior varsity game.
The rivalry between the juniors and seniors is heating up, with both teams confident they’ll walk away victorious. Emma Jones (12) voiced her confidence in the seniors: “I think the seniors will win. We’ve got a lot of strengths on our team.”
But the juniors are just as determined. Kate Kadela (11) was bold in her prediction: “The juniors have definitely got this in the bag.” She went on to highlight her team’s strategies and advantages, believing their athletic depth across multiple sports gives them the edge.
Powderpuff season isn’t just about competition—it’s also about fun. Kendra Fedison (12) shared what excites her most: “I am most excited to hang out with my friends, especially the ones I do not see at school.” She also emphasized her eagerness to practice plays and secure a senior win.
Abigail Bishop (12) is especially fired up to challenge the juniors: “I am excited to face off against the juniors and to beat my younger friends in the game.” Bishop believes the seniors’ prior experience and competitive drive will guarantee an easy victory.
With both sides putting in the work on and off the field, this year’s Powderpuff promises to be a battle to remember.
