The 2026 Hidden Valley High School tennis team is gearing up for an exciting spring season as players prepare for matches, practices, and new team goals. With the season beginning, athletes are already focusing on improving their skills and building stronger connections with their teammates as they head into competition.
As practices begin, many players are excited not only about competing but also spending more time together as a team. Claire Nieminen(10), a member of the team, said one of the things she is most looking forward to this season is the time spent with her teammates while continuing to improve her skills. “This season I’m most looking forward to getting to spend time with the girls on the team more often and improving my skills together as a team,” Nieminen said.
Along with enjoying the team atmosphere, players are also setting personal goals for the upcoming season. Claire shared that she hopes to strengthen her performance on the court and push herself to compete at a higher level. Team support is also another key factor that players believe will shape the season. According to Claire, the team culture focuses on encouraging one another regardless of wins or loses.
“As a team we are incredibly strong when it comes to uplifting each other. All the girls support and care for one another. It doesn’t matter if you’re playing your absolute best or your worst everyone will support you no matter what. It’s truly so empowering to feel so loved while on the courts,” She stated.
With strong teamwork, dedication, and clear goals, the HVHS tennis team is preparing for a season that highlights both athletic growth and team spirit. As the spring matches approach, players and supporters alike are looking forward to seeing what the team will accomplish on the courts this year.
