This early spring, our very own Titans Lacrosse Team is on a rapid pace to start their season off strong with their first game at William Byrd on March 19th at 7:15 P.M.
The Titans have a long season ahead of them with a total of 14 games. We asked Josh Mowles (11), third year player, and Nolan Woodard (11), first year player, to predict their season outcomes. “I think we will end up 7-7 which is pretty good since our last season and we’ll end right at .500,” states Josh Mowles. “I think were going to be 8-5; we have a better team then is past years and I think we can do something this year,” seconded Nolan Woodard.
On team sports, team chemistry is a huge must especially in lacrosse as the team should be close together where they bond and have close connections with each other. “I think we as a team get along great but we have some differences to get over,” explained Josh Mowles. Woodward goes on to state, “we all get along fine but we have same that need discipline and motivation.”
Lacrosse is very unique sport as it is very similar to soccer and football and is not played among many people in the United States. “I started Lacrosse because it looked fun and a lot of my friends play it so I thought I would like it,” states Nolan Woodard. Josh Mowles explains, “I played a lot of sports when I was younger and lacrosse really just stuck with me because I found it the most fun.”
The Titans Boys Lacrosse team have their first game on March 19th at Byrd so a big good luck to them!
