Hidden Valley High School is set to host Club Day, a day to learn about the various clubs it has to offer, this fall. Not only is this an opportunity to join new clubs, but it’s also a way for students to discover new passions and make an impact in our school, both inside and outside the classroom.
Hidden Valley’s many clubs will be on display for all the students to learn about and join. From service oriented to creative and social clubs, this event highlights the wide array of student life at our school and offers everyone the chance to discover clubs they may not have even known existed. As Isabella (12), the president of Help Save the Next Girl, explained, “I think Club Day is important because it’s an opportunity to just go and look at what the school has to offer, and many kids aren’t really aware of what clubs we offer.”
Matthew Luviano (12) hopes to gain attention for his own service based club. He encourages his peers to give back to community, stating, “Students should join the Leo’s Club because they need to start thinking about serving their community; it really does feed your soul when you are able to help people who don’t have a lot.” He also goes on to say that joining the club would offer officer benefits and volunteer hours.
Club Day isn’t just a one day event. Throughout the school year, Hidden Valley will host several more Club Days where students have time to go to a club of their choosing during the school day. Many club leaders will prepare games and other fun activities for their members to enjoy. This opportunity allows students to experience new clubs with their friends and helps those who struggle with staying afterschool because of extraneous circumstances.
These events are about building connections between students, their school, and the broader community. By exploring what Hidden Valley offers at Club Days, students can uncover new passions, take on leadership roles, and find ways to serve their community.
