Actress, Singer, and founder of Rare Beauty, Selena Gomez and record producer and songwriter, Benny Blanco tied the knot on Saturday, September 27th, in Santa Barbara, California. Selena and Benny began dating in June 2023, however, it wasn’t until December 2023 that they publicly confirmed their relationship. A year later, the two announced their wedding engagement via Instagram on December 11, 2024. Selena and Benny were both dressed in Ralph Lauren for the wedding. Selena’s dress featured a halter-style bodice with floral details and a dramatic open back. Benny wore a black tuxedo and bowtie.
The ceremony took place at the lush Sea Crest Nursery in front of 170 people, the couple’s closest family and friends. Security was present in large white tents at the wedding venue for eating, dancing, and celebrating throughout the night. Some celebrity guests included Selena’s longtime friend, Taylor Swift, as well as Paul Rudd and her Only Murders in the Building co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin. Paris Hilton, Ed Sheeran, Ashley Park, and Selena’s Wizards of Waverly Place co-star, David Henrie, were also present.
“I found out about their wedding on Vogue’s Instagram page, and was super excited. I listened to her music a ton when I was younger, and love her beauty brand, Rare Beauty,” said Claire Kern (11).
“I think it’s just really important to meet someone that respects you,” Selena told New Music Daily. “And I think it’s really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in. But I’d have to say overall it’s the safest that I feel and it’s been really lovely and I’ve only grown through it, so it’s awesome.”
Their wedding was just the start of their lives together, Benny and Selena have both expressed their desire to have children and so much more. Safe to say, we are all excited to see the next steps of their beautiful relationship.
