The Hidden Valley 2023 Art Show

The 2023 Hidden Valley Art Show took place in the library of the school from April 18 to April 21 with displays of different students’ creations. The students who participated are in some form of art class.

From digital photography to computer graphic design. Each student specialized and displayed their forms on how they chose to express themselves as each person is different and wants to express how they draw or create. The two art teachers over the course of the school year have assigned their students creative challenges and asked them to do it in their own way but at the same time follow the criteria.

Freshman Rylin Koerner is a student who is currently enrolled in Art 1 states that “ I enjoyed this years art show it was nice seeing other peoples work and creation and on how it was different for each class for one class you had drawings and paintings while as for another you have graphic designs so it was very interesting to see”.

When asked about what she likes to do they responded by saying “I like painting but in class I just like to draw and use colored pencils I just genuinely enjoy it because it gives me a peace of mind.”  When asked as to what gives her inspiration to draw or paint and what her process is she replied by stating “It’s usually when the teacher gives us a picture and asks us to replicate it but in our own way.
