Hidden Valley High School’s math department welcomes Mrs. Quesenberry as the new teacher for Dual Enrollment AP Calculus, Dual Enrollment Pre-Calculus, and Algebra II for the 2025-26 school year.
Quesenberry said she chose Hidden Valley because of the opportunity to teach calculus full-time and the welcoming faculty she met while coaching the state volleyball champions in 2023.
A Glenvar High School graduate, Quesenberry earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from James Madison University in 2021. In addition to her role at Hidden Valley, she teaches at Glenvar and serves as the head junior varsity volleyball coach at Cave Spring High School.
When asked what inspired her to become a math teacher, Quesenberry said she was motivated by a former math teacher who served as a role model. “I have always been good with numbers and problem solving, so I figured why not make a career out of it?” she said.
Colleague Mr. Harris said Quesenberry will be an asset to the department. “I think Mrs. Quesenberry will challenge and motivate our math students at the highest level,” he said. “Her driven character and great sense of humor as a coach will translate well into the classroom and make her a great fit for HVHS.”
Quesenberry hopes to help students succeed both in the classroom and on the volleyball court. Hidden Valley students and staff look forward to welcoming her to the school community.
