The Ryder Cup, held every two years, is a three day tournament where the United States and Europe face each other in golf including a total of 28 matches. Locations tend to change every tournament and the next tournament in 2027 will be held in Adare Manor, Ireland.
The Ryder cup is a big deal for many golfers across the world, so what is the Ryder cup? The Ryder cup pulls twelve players from the United States and twelve from Europe. These players are separated into groups of four where two players from each team will compete in a scramble like match to play for points to beat the other team. On the last Sunday of the tournament, or the third day of the tournament, one player from each set of two will play in the final round.
Noah Womeldorf(11) and Nolan Woodard(11) were asked what team they sided with. “I am all Team USA and I think there gonna win it all,” explained Nolan Woodard. Noah Womeldorf agreed with Nolan’s statement. Europe ended up winning the the Ryder cup taking over the United States 15-13, which is the first European win since 2012.
“I think that team USA just made mistake that cost them at the end where the European team was just more consistent in the long run,” explains Noah Womeldorf.
Europe takes this match in the bag breaking up USA’s 4 tournament winning streak where the two teams will meet in Adare Manor, Ireland, in 2027.
