Christmas at the Greenbrier: A Hallmark Movie based in WV

Christmas at the Greenbrier, a Hallmark movie, came out November 24th, 2022. This movie is based at a local resort located in White Sulfur Springs, WV.

The Greenbrier is a luxury resort in West Virginia. It’s known for its infamous interior design by Dorothy Draper and its 710 guest rooms on the property. Hallmark is a TV channel and publisher, known for its cheesy Christmas movies.

More than 80 million people have seen at least a few minutes of a Hallmark movie. It is not common to see a film set in WV, so the idea of such a large company covering a resort in White Sulfur Springs is big potential for worldwide notice.

Bayleigh Cavender (a student at CMHS) says, “I believe this will give the Greenbrier national recognition, and I hope to visit again soon.”

Now the luxury resort wont only be known for its beautiful interior design and shops within the hotel, but it will also be known as a movie set. They closed areas of the hotel to film, which are available to visit today! This movie is allowing and economical advantage for both WV and the Greenbrier.
