With the school year coming to an end, it’s time for some senior spotlights. Kaitlyn Balci (12) is a senior at Hidden Valley High School who will be graduating this Wednesday, May 22nd. Kaitlyn has attended Hidden Valley High School for the entirety of her high school career.
After graduating, Kaitlyn plans to attend Virginia Tech in the fall to major in Biology. Along with attending VT for studies, Kaitlyn will be a Virginia Tech Cheerleader. Kaitlyn feels passionately about cheerleading and is excited to continue her career as a cheerleader on a college team.
Cheer isn’t the only activity Kaitlyn has been interested in during her high school career. During her sophomore and Junior years, Kaitlyn participated in the varsity women’s soccer team. Kaitlyn is also one of our Titan Times’ editors and has been part of this class/club for three years. She has made a huge impact on the Journalism program at Hidden Valley High School.
Kaitlyn shared one of her favorite teachers throughout the years of attending Hidden Valley is Dr. Neale. He has always given her sage advice when needed and be supportive of her academic and extra curricula pursuits.
During Kaitlyn’s years at this school, she has grown a reputation as a focused and successful student. Kaitlyn enjoys many of the classes she has taken; however, when asked what her favorite class was, she answered with AP biology. She told us that she loves the class because of the teacher, and she loves the material in the class. Her love for this class has influenced her to study it at Tech in the fall.
Saying goodbye to one of our amazing seniors is hard, but we can’t wait to see all that Kaitlyn will do as she starts the new chapter of her life next Fall at Virginia Tech.
