On Saturday, April 13th, Hidden Valley hosted their prom. The theme was “All that Glitters,” and it was held at Hunting Hills Country Club.
There were various people dressed up in arrays of colors that ranged from navy blue to yellow. There was the option of getting food, hanging out in the lobby area, or dancing.
The DJ played many classics for everyone to dance to, such as Cotton Eyed Joe and the Cha Cha Slide.
The prom was about three hours, lasting from 8 to 11. After the prom, there was about a thirty minute break until After Prom, which was held at the Launching Pad.
When students got to the Launching Pad they checked in and got their socks for the trampolines, and were given a couple free tickets to put into the raffle.
The raffle was divided into three sections, one with items for all of the students, one with items just for juniors, and one with items just for seniors.
There were also opportunities throughout the night to gain more tickets for the raffle. Students could go up to teachers or employees and answer a trivia questions to get a ticket for the raffle.
Besides the raffle, there was dodgeball, a trampoline with hoops, free jump, jousting, fake tattoos, Velcro axe throwing, silent disco, and the America Ninja Warrior obstacle course to keep students occupied. And if people didn’t want to stay until 2:30 am, they could leave early because they announced prizes at an earlier time.
All in all, it was a successful prom! Students could dance or just hangout, and at the Launching Pad they could just jump, play different games, or eat for free from the delicious food provided by the PTSO.
