The Volleyball team recently got recognized by the School Board for winning the 2023 – 2024 volleyball state championship.
On Saturday, November 18th, the Hidden Valley varsity volleyball team beat Grafton in the state championship and won the first volleyball state championship title since 2016. Chloe Muscaro (12) said, “It took a lot of hard work and was very hard, but we pushed through and were able to win as a team.”
After their exciting and compelling win against Grafton, the Hidden Valley girls’ varsity volleyball team has been eagerly waiting for their recognition. That recognition would come in many ways, but the first way would be here at Hidden Valley.
Around two weeks ago a picture of the volleyball team was hung up in the gym to commemorate the team and their win. Chloe Muscaro also says, “I think it’s very rewarding and I love how it shows us together as a team.”
The girls’ varsity volleyball team wouldn’t have to wait long for their next recognition. It came last Wednesday on January 24th; the girls’ varsity volleyball team was recognized by the Roanoke County School Board. The School Board presented each player on team with an award and took a group picture of all of them holding their award. “I’m very proud of our team, we worked very hard, and, in the end, it paid off,” Chloe Muscaro added.
The girls’ varsity volleyball team has been recognized by Hidden Valley and even the Roanoke County School Board. The entirety of Hidden Valley is very proud of them, and we hope that they continue to go on and win even more state championship titles in the future.
