The homecoming pep rally was last Friday during 2nd block at the main gym. Last Friday the school gathered at the main gym for an enthusiastic pre-homecoming pep-rally. The marching band was there to keep up spirt with the color guard team dancing. There was different music from the band such as YMCA or Pirates of the Caribbean which was hyping up the crowd ending up with extreme cheering and even whistles!
There was a mix of people from fall sports competing for their grade level in order to win the spirt cup. In order to win the spirt cup you needed the most points and all of the grades already had earned some points from dressing up for spirt week but were given another chance with this competition. Kendall Wolfe (12) said “I got really excited when we won the first competition and started cheering extra loud for my people.” The competition started with the alphabet relay, which was quickly won by the seniors, and then there was the Hungry Hungry hippos’ activity, and the juniors took that over and the upper classmen were really excited for the last relay it got very competitive the juniors and seniors loudly motivating their team which was finally was won by the juniors. They then told them the total placing for the spirt cup, which was freshmen in fourth place, sophomores in third, juniors in second, and finally seniors in 1rst!! Even though the juniors won more competitions the seniors still won because they wo more points by dressing for spirt week.
They then announced homecoming court with our kings and queen being Shae Torrence and Worth Paisley.
