Excited for the upcoming fall season? There are 3 pumpkin patches located in Southwest Virginia that can provide an unforgettable experience for anyone and everyone! These pumpkin patches are Sinkland Farms, Layman Family Farms, and Jeter Farm.
Between Thanksgiving, Halloween, and other general fall activities, fall is a joyful experience for everyone. There is much more to Pumpkin Patches than simply just picking pumpkins – hayrides, corn mazes, animal farms, jumping pillows, and fall treats are just a few of the fun family-friendly activities to enjoy at the pumpkin patch.
The first pumpkin patch local to Southwest Virginia is Sinkland Farms. Sinkland is located in Christiansburg, Virginia. They offer a Sunflower festival in the middle of September, and their Pumpkin patch is open September 29th-November 5th. Activities provided are exploring local vendors, horseback tours, fall themed treats, pumpkin picking, corn mazes, and pig races!
Ann Elise Kadela (11) says, “Sinkland is definitely my favorite out of the 3, we go there every year and I always look forward to it.”
The second local pumpkin patch is Layman Family Farms. Layman is located in Blue Ridge, Virginia. Layman is an 83-acre farm that offers fun for the entire family. They have a 10-acre corn maze, pumpkin picking, full concessions, cow trains, gemstone mining, hay wagon rides, a bouncy jumping pillow, a pumpkin blaster, tunnel slide, petting zoo, mini zipline, and so much more. Layman has on site ticket purchasing as well as preordering tickets online. Opening Day was September 16th, and they will stay open until November 5th.
Ella James (11) said, “Layman has always been my favorite pumpkin patch. My favorite memory is getting to go with our buddies in elementary school.”
The third local pumpkin patch is Jeter Farm. Jeter is in Bonsack, Virginia. They opened on September 30th, and they will stay open until October 29th. Their attractions include a corn maze, hayrides, slides, barnyard zoo, fall themed games, jump pad, and more! They have a large pumpkin field with all sorts of shapes and sizes to choose from.
Between the three local Pumpkin Patches in Virginia, there is no going wrong, no matter which you choose. All of them offer attractions and activities that will capture the attention of anyone, no matter what age they are. A fun fall season is approaching!!
