On February 8th at the NFL Honors event, in Las Vegas, the Hall of Fame inductees will be announced for this upcoming class.
There are 15 finalists left to be picked from and usually between four and nine new inductees are inducted into the Hall of Fame each year.
This year’s finalists are Eric Allen, Jared Allen, Willie Anderson, Jahri Evans, Dwight Freeny, Antonio Gates, Rodney Harrison, Devin Hester, Torry Holt, Andre Johnson, Julius Peppers, Fred Taylor, Reggie Wayne, Patrick Willis, and Darren Woodson. The contributor/coach finalist is Buddy Parker, and the senior finalists are Randy Gradishar, Steve McMichael, and Art Powell.
Sam (12) said “I think that Jared Allen should definitely be in along with Dwight Freeney are people who should make it in this year. Other can make it like Devin Hester, Andre Johnson and Antonio Gates are all people who should be hall of famers but if they do not make it this year, they will make it eventually.”
Antonio Gates and Julius Peppers are in their first years of eligibility. Throughout the history of the hall of fame there have not been a lot of first ballot hall of famers.
J’Vincent (12) says “There are a lot of people who should make it like Devin Hester and Antonio Gates should make it in and Torry Holt should already be in. Along with Rodney Harrison should be in with how good he was on defense. Jahri Evans is another that should make it in with how good he was at playing guard.
