The NFC side of the playoffs kicks off on January 14th and ends on February 11th. There are three matchups in the first round. The first game was on January 14th at 4:30pm and included the Packers and Cowboys. The second game was at 8:15pm and the Rams and Lions played, and the third game was held on the 15th at 8pm between the Eagles and Bucs for the finale. The 49ers got the bye for the first round.
The Packers head to Dallas. They have won all 5 games in AT&T Stadium. Dallas hasn’t done well with Rodgers in the past, so will they get revenge with Jordan Love at the helm? In 2017, Dallas had The No Catch Call with Dez Bryant. Chris Harless (11) said, “I think the Packers are going to win because Jordan Love has something to play for.”
Matthew Stafford is coming back to Detroit in the playoffs. Matthew Stafford was traded to the Rams from the Lions in 2021. The Lions were 12-5 this season. Dan Campbell has turned the Lions around from 0-16 a couple years ago. This will be the first time the Lions have been in the playoffs since 2016. If they win the game, it would be the first win in the playoffs since 1991.
The Eagles head to Tampa Bay for the start of the Baker Era. Tampa Bay made the playoffs last year with Tom Brady but lost in the first round to the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles made it to the Super Bowl last year and are aiming to make it again. They will be on the road during the playoffs because of their seed. AJ Brown is injured and isn’t certain about if he will play.
The 49ers have a bye and then will play the lowest seed that wins. “I think the 49ers will make it out of the NFC, because they are the best team. The Super Bowl logo conspiracy theory has said that the 49ers will be in the Super Bowl.” Says Jay Phelps (12)
