Saturday the 13th begins the almost month-long battle between 7 AFC teams competing across America to see who can make it to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
There are many stories between these teams and their players to start the playoffs. The Browns are playing the Texans after trading quarterback Deshaun Watson and the possibility of Joe Flaco playing his old team, the Ravens, if they can win the wildcard game.
The AFC matchups for wildcard weekend are the 5 seed Browns vs. the 4 seed Texans, the 6 seed Dolphins vs the 3 seed Chiefs, and the 7 seed Steelers vs. the 2 seed Bills with the overall number one team, the Ravens having a bye week and will be playing the lowest seed that advances.
Anthony Dunn and Caleb Hagadorn, seniors at Hidden Valley, shared some thoughts. Dunn thought the Ravens would win while Hagadorn thought the Dolphins would win. After the wildcard games the 1 seed Ravens played the 4 seed Texans while the 3 seed Chiefs played the 2 seed Bills.
However, this weekend the divisional round of the playoffs was played, and the 1 seed Ravens beat the Texans 34-10 and the Chiefs beat the Bills 27-24, the Bills lost due to Tyler Bass missing a 44-yard field goal wide right. This means that next Sunday the Chiefs will be traveling to Baltimore to take on Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.
With the games set I believe that the Ravens will beat out the Chiefs and will play the Lions in the Superbowl. Which will take place February 11th in Las Vegas.
