On Friday January 5th, the Titans played Patrick Henry in basketball. It was a tough game, but the Titans played well.
Hidden Valley held the lead for quite a bit, but unfortunately, Patrick Henry ended up taking the lead. Though this happened, the Titans gave PH a hard time, making it a hard-earned victory for the other team.
Worth Paisley (12) commented, “The team played well in the first half especially and moved the ball well.”
When speculating about the future game of Patrick Henry and Hidden Valley, Worth (12) stated that, “If we have good ball movement and hit important shots next time, we will definitely have a chance of winning.”
On Wednesday January 10th, they played Pulaski at home, and it was a close game the whole time. First, the Titans were in the lead, but it was still a close score. Then, after halftime, Pulaski came onto the court with a determination to win.
However, the Titans met this determination with great defense. Braxton Nichols (11) was on his A game and scored multiple three pointers. Steele Torrence (10) and Wyatt Clarke (10) were also doing well with multiple steals and points scored by each.
Hidden Valley ended up taking the lead once again and making their free throws after being fouled continuously by the other team and won the game.
Overall, though they lost to Patrick Henry, they will come back with competitiveness and teamwork, maybe allowing them to beat PH the next time that they meet. The Titans have had a great season this year.
