The Hidden Valley High School football team has had a rough start to its season with 2 losses already, one to William Fleming and the other to William Byrd. These two losses raise the question: how is the team’s morale? The answer to this question may tell us about the chemistry of teammates following new additions and losses to the team, it also raises another question: how does this affect team communication?
When asked about how the team chemistry is this year, Junior Jacob Robinson responded, “During practices and games I’ve started to notice that we’ve come together more and that we’re trying to work on making sure that we don’t depend on one person to do all of the work and that if we just stick together we’ll be able to get through. It’s also nice just to see everyone come together and seeing how everyone cares about each other and this sport.”
When asked about team morale and its importance, Jacob answered, “Morale is definitely an important feature for any sport and right now the morale is a bit down, but it has raised because our JV team almost won so that brings hope for us because if they’re able to do it so can we”.
The team has set some goals for this season, including “to win games, get closer,” and “work on trusting one another.”
Lets wish them luck for the remainder of the season.
