Dancing with the Stars has been a fan favorite show this year, as it closed out its 33rd season. “This was the first season I had watched of Dancing with the Stars, and I loved keeping up with it every week and seeing the contestants progress throughout the show. I will definitely watch next year’s season,” says Lauren Goodwin (11). This season featured a diverse lineup of stars from various fields of work and fame, each bringing their own unique flair to the dance floor. The Star lineup consisted of people from the Olympics, the Bachelor/Bachelorette nation, the NFL and NBA, Actors, and Models. This varying group gave the show just the excitement it needed to keep the audience and fans at home engaged.
From the very first episode, it was evident that this season would be one to remember. The celebrities, paired with professional dancers, displayed their skills in a variation of dance styles, from the Viennese Waltz to the Argentine tango. Each week, the competition escalated, with each pair striving to dance better than previous weeks and impress the judges and fans.
One of the highlights from the season was the themed nights, such as “Disney Night” and “Dedication Night,” added so much excitement, allowing the contestants to immerse themselves fully in their performances.
Ultimately, Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson were announced the winners, lifting the Mirrorball Trophy and securing their place in Dancing with the Stars history. “I think Joey and Jenna had an amazing season and had great chemistry and personality, and I think they deserved to win,” says Kendall Link (9). The 2024 season was one for the books and showed a celebration of talent, determination, and the power of dance, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the next season.
