Romance fans all around are making noise about the next upcoming installment in Ana Huang’s King of Sin series, King of Sloth. The series – in the same world as TikTok’s beloved Twisted books, also authored by Huang – follows seven different billionaires who each exhibit a quality of one of the seven deadly sins and the women whom they fall in love with.
Releasing on April 30th, the fourth installment, King of Sloth, will follow Xavier, who has never wanted for anything materially but longs for the attention of his secretary, Sloane. Though it isn’t required to read the other King of Sin books to jump right in, it’s best to get an idea of them to understand who certain characters are.
The first book of the series, King of Wrath, follows the ruthless Dante Russo, who thrives on control, both personally and professionally. The billionaire CEO never planned to marry—until the threat of blackmail forces him into an engagement with Vivian Lau, jewelry heiress and daughter of his newest enemy. From the beginning, hateful sparks fly. But as they spend time together, their hate ebbs away, and Dante must choose between his wrath and the budding love that they developed.
The second book of the series, King of Pride, follows the reserved Kai Young, who has neither the time nor inclination for chaos—and Isabella Valencia is known to be chaos personified. With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can’t afford the distraction she brings. Yet they can’t stay away from one another, indulging themselves in a forbidden relationship. But when its discovery threatens his vote, Kai must choose between his pride and keeping her in his arms.
The third book of the series, King of Greed, follows the ambitious Dominic Davenport, who clawed his way up from nothing to becoming the billionaire he is today. He has everything—a beautiful home, a beautiful wife, and more money than he could spend in a lifetime. But no matter how much he accumulates, he’s never satisfied. When his overambition lands his marriage with his wife, Alessandra, in jeopardy, Dominic must rectify the cracks his greed tore through both of them and win her back.
Though each book in the series follow powerful men, there are no power imbalances in the relationships they pursue. They never use money to woo their women, who have power of their own; Vivian was part of high society long before Dante married her, and Isabella has multiple jobs. Alessandra stepped away from Dominic’s money and proved she was capable of running a business herself.
The Kings of Sin series is full of stories about love, personal growth, and the idea that money is not equivalent to happiness. Along with the upcoming King of Sloth, three other books are set to release later in the year. If you’re weak for billionaire men changing for women who measure up to be just as powerful, then this adult contemporary romance series is the one for you.
