Who do you believe is the strongest fighter in history? Some say Muhammad Ali or if you go way back, Alexander the Great. Not everyone knows about Baki and Yujiro Hanma, the most devoted men of various Martial Art techniques. Baki Hanma is the son of Yujiro. He has a strong love for those who are close to him, can be very overprotective, and is very determined. Yujiro is arrogant and thought to be the strongest, most undefeated fighter. Along with Baki and Yujiro, there are quite a few other fighters that follow behind in their strength. Biscuit Oliva is an assassin who works for the government and is a special jailer in a state prison. He is also very arrogant but has one special soft spot for his lady Maria. One other strong character that stands out is named Pickle, who was discovered in ice and dated back to the dinosaur age. He doesn’t have the normal characteristics of a new age human being, as he is overdeveloped, making it impossible for him to fit modern clothing. Finally, Tokugawa, an old wise man who is very knowledgeable in martial arts and all the powerful fighters who have fought in his arena.
The first season of Baki Hanma mostly takes place in an Arizona state prison where Biscuit Oliva has special privileges. Baki captured the president which is what sent him to the Arizona state prison among many other fearless criminals. Biscuit was barely impressed by Baki, which set Baki off to prove that he can easily obtain the same power. When Baki proved this, he was almost teasing Biscuit for a head on fight and he eventually accepted it. The day finally came when Baki hit Biscuits last nerve and was punched through at least 10 cell walls. At first Baki was getting beat up, but it awakened his real strength. They began to exchange punches head on and to everyone’s surprise Baki was so determined to beat Biscuit that he pushed Biscuit further back every punch, eventually reaching the wall. Biscuit then gained respect for Baki even admitting defeat and finally understanding the strength that Baki is capable of. As a result of this, Biscuit ordered Baki to leave the prison because there was no point of him being imprisoned if he can easily gain the power to escape. This is one of many examples of Baki’s strength.
