Mrs. Newbern and the Titan Radio staff are looking forward to bringing the morning announcements to Hidden Valley High School during the 2025-2026 school year. The morning announcements, known as Titan Radio, occur at the beginning of 1st Block every day. Each year, small changes are made to keep the announcements fresh and exciting.

Making the morning announcements more meaningful, the announcers help students get information about day-to-day activities, so they will be more informed. Titan Radio keeps all students engaged throughout the year by highlighting school events and sports dates. Titan Radio keeps the school spirit up by ensuring students are aware of all the school themes and school-related activities. The announcers will also celebrate all the school’s achievements and congratulate Hidden Valley school sports.

Each year, a select group of seniors joins Titan Radio as announcers. This year, the team features five talented students. The broadcasts begin at 8:25 a.m., typically covering topics such as weather, sports, and occasionally include a few jokes to start the day.

Senior Jia Byrnes is one of this year’s announcers, providing engaging updates each morning. Every morning, Byrnes covers the school sports and clubs. In Byrnes’ announcements, she talks about game-winning points from the night before or when the next meeting is for your favorite club. The senior Jia Burnes quoted, “Morning announcements are a great way for students to learn about upcoming events involving the school or extracurriculars.” Byrnes and the rest of the team hope to make this year’s broadcasts the most memorable yet, encouraging every student to tune in and stay connected.
