Caroline Sander has attended Hidden Valley High School for all four years. This fall, she plans to attend Virginia Tech, where she will study exercise and health science and hopes to join a sorority.
She loves spending time with her friends and is excited to begin the next chapter of her life. Before college begins, she plans to travel and make even more memories with friends this summer.
Caroline said her favorite high school memory happened during her freshman year.
“My favorite memory of high school was the freshman year Cave, whiteout football game where we won for the first time and got to storm the field,” she said.
Some of her fondest moments have been with her longtime friends.
“I plan to stay connected with my closest friends. We’ve all been friends since sixth grade, and we’re all going to colleges pretty close to each other, so I hope we’re lifelong friends.”
With college just around the corner, she’s looking forward to a new experience.
“I’m looking forward to a fresh start at a new, big school and to making many new friends,” she said. “I’m also excited to join a sorority and take classes that will help me with my career.”
High school hasn’t always been easy, especially in the beginning. When asked what advice she would give her freshman self, Caroline said: “I would tell myself not to care what others think and be the best version of yourself because lots of drama will happen, and you just have to be the bigger person. I would also tell my freshman self not to stress over tests and assignments so much.”
Over the last four years as a Titan, Caroline has made lasting memories and friendships.
“This summer I’m going to the beach with some of my senior friends, which I’m excited for,” she said. “And I’m going to Florida with my family for my senior trip.”
Caroline is ready to take on college and everything that comes with it. With her positive outlook and drive, there’s no doubt she will do great things in the next chapter of her life.
We wish her the best of luck at Virginia Tech!
