Fall formal, DECA’s annual autumn dance was a huge hit. Students enjoyed dressing in their finest attire and traveled in to the high school in flocks as friends or formal dates.

Groups of friends were singing loudly and enthusiastically to the songs that were being played. Some of the music that played was Timber by Pitbull ft. Ke$ha, All About that Bass by Meghan Trainor, Low by Flo Rida. A wide of music played ranging from poppy tunes to slow dancing numbers.

“I liked the music that they played especially when Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus came on,” Anna Bashore (12).

The gym was transformed into a lights out theme. There was a black curtain separating the room section designated for dancing, which was full of students. There was lights decking out the surroundings Everyone was enjoying themselves and the music that was playing. There was a table of refreshments featuring a chocolate fountain paired with dippable snacks like rice krispies, strawberries, and pretzels.  There was also punch with sherbet ice cream.

“The chocolate fountain gave the dance a classy and fun vibe,” said Bashore.

Overall Fall Formal was a pleasant experience and a wonderful way to spend a Saturday night. Friends and couples gathered together, and a quality time was had by all.
