As I walked in, what immediately caught my eye were all the tables set up for everyone presenting their projects and presentations. On Tuesday, the 17th of April, Hidden Valley held its annual Titan 21 Night. It is a night filled with students and teachers showing off their creative minds through projects and exhibitions. Parents, grandparents, and anyone with interest, can come to look at what the students have created.

One of the projects presented that night was Sophia Clemmer (10). Her project was for biology class and the project she made was about using growth enhancements (as in growth hormones) for meat animals or humans. When asked about what her favorite part of working on the project was, she said “working on something that is a controversial topic knowing that I would get to share it with more people than just my teacher.”

Mr. Harris’ geometry class teamed up with the science classes to create scale models that represented the most abundant gasses in the atmosphere. They used papier-mâché balloons to make the structures look as real as possible. They hung them up all across the halls. Madison West (10) had been working on it all month in hopes for her parents to come and enjoy what she made. West said “I was so excited for my parents to see what I had accomplished because they had been wondering why I was staying after school every day for a month.”

Overall, the night was filled with lots of art and creativity. The students of Hidden Valley clearly demonstrated that they are at the top of their game when it comes to 21st century learning.
