The 2022-23 NHL season with all 32 NHL teams competing in a total of 1,312 regular season games across two countries, America, and Canada, with all the teams having the same goal of winning the Stanley Cup.

For some teams winning the Stanley Cup is more realistic than it is for others, but nobody knows how the season is going to go. An example of that would be last year’s Stanley Cups playoff involving the New York Rangers. The Rangers were not expected to be a good team, but they had a very good season and made it all the way to the conference finals and are now expected to make it far in the Stanley Cup playoffs this season. Another example would be the New York Islanders. The Islanders were a team that were heavily favored to make it to the Stanley Cup finals, but they started off bad and struggled throughout the year because of injury and bad play and it resulted in the team missing the playoffs for the first time in since 2018 and that caused Berry Trotz ,the head coach,  to get fired from the team.

When interviewed about the 2022-23 NHL season Anthony Dunn 11th said “my favorite team is the Tampa Bay Lightning and I think they will be back in the Cup finals, but they might lose. I don’t know who they would lose to though. I think it will be between the Colorado Avalanche or the Golden Knights to beat the Lightnings in the Stanley Cup finals.”

When Aziz F 12th was interviewed about the 2022-23 NHL season he said “I think that the Florida Panthers will win the Stanley Cup this year. They were one of the best teams in last year’s regular season, but they did not do well in the playoffs. They are my favorite teams, so I hope they repeat what they did last year in the regular season and do better in the playoffs this year and win the Stanley Cup.”

In the end it is unknown who will win the Cup, but the Avalanche the winner of last years cup, are expected to repeat or come close to repeating. The Lightning’s are expected to do good as well as the Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, Toronto Maple Leaf’s but the rest of the teams who will probably be good and make the playoffs is unknown.
