In 1975, Bill Belichick began his NFL career as the defensive coordinator for the New York Giants. He won two Super Bowls with the Giants, and in 1991, he left the Giants to be the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. Then, in 2000, Belichick became the head coach of the New England Patriots, where he still coaches today. Throughout his years with the Patriots, Belichick has won six Super Bowls, totaling eight all together.

On October 27, 2019, Coach Belichick gained his 300th win against the Cleveland Browns. This makes him the third coach to reach 300 wins, both regular season and playoffs. The only other coaches to reach this milestone are Don Shula, who has 347 wins under his belt, and George Halas with 324 wins. With the way Belichick has been coaching the Patriots, he is well on his way to becoming the coach with the most wins in NFL history.
