They pass, they spike, and they score! The Titan girls’ volleyball team played against Cave Spring on Oct.1st at home. It’s the rivalry game between neighbors, the girls’ Varsity team has been practicing for the game.

“Our coach has two state championships on her résumé, as well as having success with several other teams has advanced to regional championships and state play,” said Mr. John-Michael Deeds, athletic director at Hidden Valley High School.

Every year is a different story for the volleyball team. Every year seniors leave, and will that have an effect on the team or not? He also said that even if they lost on the court the girls work harder to win next time.

“What the seniors were able to do showed the underclassmen the best ways to basically carry on the traditions that we have here in Hidden Valley,” said Mr. Deeds.

The game went as follows, set one was 25-14, set two was 25-12, and set three was 25-16. The girls won that game, their hard work had paid off at the end. He also added that this year the girls need to rely more on chemistry and communication between each other during the game. To win the game they need to communicate.
