Being a full time teacher and the coach of a spring sport became too much of a strain on history teacher Mr. Ryan Teague, so he has decided to step down as the Boys Tennis Coach.

Mr. Teague has coached for over a decade, but with his two kids, a 15 month old and a four year old, he was very busy and away from home a majority of the time. Being in school for seven and a half hours and then staying after school for an hour and a half on top of matches that are hours away meant Teague was missing out on his kid’s activities.

“I just want to give my kids the time that the tennis parents give their kids, and you have great parents that are at every match and my kids are getting to the stage where they are doing things and I want to be able to do the same for them that the community does for our kids,” said Teague

The replacement for Mr. Teague has not yet been determined, but Gavin Pyle (11) has tried to recruit Tom Gibbs, a Tennis Coach at Hidden Valley Country Club. The school has put an ad out and have interviewed many people but has not yet revealed who the new coach will be.

“The atmosphere and attitude that Teague brought to the team can’t be replaced,” said Pyle. (11)
