The new movie Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is action packed, funny, and insightful. Maleficent is played by Angelina Jolie, and her god daughter, Aurora, is played by Elle Fanning. This movie really gives you a new view of a Disney character that is supposed to be so evil, and it shows you that not everyone is who they seem to be. The movie portrays love, fear, peace, and evolution into a new era.

Prince Phillip, who is played by Harris Dickinson, asks Aurora to marry him but their parents do not want them to. Queen Ingris, Prince Phillips Mother, is dead set on eliminating Maleficent and all fairy kind because of a bad childhood experience. She tricks everyone to believe that Maleficent cursed her husband, which starts a war between the humans and the fairies. After that happens Maleficent ends up getting wounded and is saved by a creature that looks exactly like her. She comes to find out that they have been in hiding from the humans but now they want to come out of hiding. The war begins then ends in a wedding and a union between the humans and the fairies ending all feuds between them.

I would recommend watching this movie because it teaches you that just because someone may be different from you does not mean you can’t like them. This is a family friendly movie but I would say that an adult should be there for younger children.
