Robert Pattinson, the actor for Batman.

Released on March 4, 2022 “The Batman” is the newest movie to take a look at the iconic comic book character. Directed by Matt Reeves, “The Batman” takes a darker look at the underworld of Gotham and the newest, most dangerous threat to the city.
The newest threat in Gotham has presented itself as The Riddler (Paul Dano), a mysterious killer that targets the elites of the city. At each of the murders, a letter that includes messages to decode, is left behind that is addressed to the masked vigilante know as Batman (Robert Pattinson). This causes James Gordan (Jeffrey Wright) to invite Batman onto the crime scenes to show him the letters and for Batman to investigate the murders. Trying to solve the riddles, Batman travels to the Gotham crime scene where he attempts to gather information from the Penguin (Colin Farrell), which leads Batman into the depths of Gotham City’s many secrets that were long forgotten by the public, some of which are connected to the masked vigilante.
“The Batman” shows the audience around Gotham city with a darker, more serious movie, that follows a compelling plot that includes a balance of action and development. The dialogue between characters is well developed but does have places where it is stale. I enjoyed the movie because of the great action and the return of iconic characters. I give “The Batman” a 4 out of 5 shields
