The newest film from famed director Denis Villeneuve, Dune, is a completely aweing experience and will leave you craving for what’s next. This film premiered in theaters and on the streaming platform HBO Max October 21, 2021.

The film’s plot is adapted from the infamous 1965 novel with the same name. With the stunning camera work and the masterful acting from everyone in the film, it was destined to be incredible. With the wonderful work of the film’s cinematographer Greg Fraser, this is definitely one of the best-looking films of the year.

The 1st installation in the Dune story follows the young prince Paul Atreides, Timothée Chalamet, and his journey onto the hostile planet of Arrakis in the hope of finding the most prized and precious material in the universe, Spice. While on this journey the wicked Vladimir Harkonnen has plans to stop the young prince to take the Spice for himself.

Watching this intricate story slowly unfold in front of you leaves you with an incredibly satisfying and entertaining watch. Seeing as this is only part one in the Dune story leaves my extremely excited with what could possibly happen next. With all of that I give this film a 5 out of 5 shields.
